Beyond shearing accuracy, leveling quality also indirectly affects material utilization. Coils stored for extended periods develop internal stresses and surface unevenness. If leveling is inadequate, the strip enters the feed with curvature, making the cut‑length measurement inaccurate and resulting in dimensional deviations that ultimately have to be scrapped.
