A coil blanking line is an automated production line that uses metal coils as raw material and performs continuous decoiling, straightening, fixed-length feeding, and blanking. It typically consists of a feeding line, blanking system, and stacking system. It is widely used in industries such as automotive, home appliances, and is suited for high-efficiency production of medium to large-sized sheet blanks. This article will introduce RUIHUI's large coil blanking line.


Feeding Line

1. Loading Trolley

The loading trolley is used to smoothly transfer the coil onto the decoiler mandrel. To improve efficiency, two trolleys can be configured for alternating use. It can also be used to assist in decoiling, allowing the metal strip to enter the next device more smoothly.

2. Decoiler

The decoiler fixes the coil on the expandable mandrel and supports the inner diameter of the coil. During automatic operation, the mandrel rotates intermittently according to loop control signals.

3. Leading Device

The leading device is used to assist the decoiling and strip threading process, reducing manual intervention and improving operational safety and reliability. The shear is used to cut off poor-quality strip heads or defective sections, ensuring the qualified strip enters the straightening and feeding.

4. Straightener

The straightener is used to flatten the bent strip and eliminate internal residual stress. In order to avoid bending of the straightening rolls, support rolls are provided on the upper and lower rolls. Both the entry and exit of the straightener are driven by geared motors with encoder memory, allowing independent adjustment of the entry and exit gaps. Based on stored workpiece parameters, the control system can automatically set the leveler entry and exit gaps, enabling fast setup and stable production.

5. Loop

A photoelectric detection is installed in the loop to monitor the strip loop length in real time.

By dynamically balancing the speeds of the feeder and the straightener, it ensures a stable strip supply to match the blanking speed.

6. Feeder

The feeder delivers the strip from the loop according to the programmed feed length. An anti-backward device composed of two polyurethane-coated rolls is installed, which provides sufficient grip while minimizing surface damage to the strip. This device prevents the strip at the loop exit from falling backward due to gravity when the feed rolls are released.

7. Tail Feeding Device

There is a retractable support device at the outlet end of the feeder, and a feeding roller at the end. When the strip tail reaches the main servo feeder, the control system closes the tail feeding rollers while opening the front feeding rollers. The tail feeder then continues to feed the strip tail into the die or blanking station, ensuring stable utilization.

Blanking System

Blanking can be carried out using a shear, press, or laser system, depending on the product geometry and process requirements.

Stacking System

The stacking system is used to stack sheets in an orderly and neat manner, which helps with subsequent destacking and stamping production. RUIHUI's stacking system has the magnetic stacking system, gravity deceleration stacking system, and gravity non-deceleration stacking system.
